caulk in the holes and make a tonic w/ habeniro juice and laundry soap and use a sprayer to apply it on the out side of you house,great for all bugs and even woodpeckers that are going after the larva that the bee's leftWhats the best way to get rid of bubble-bees? Is your garage cedar? If so they are notorious for doing this. Call an exterminator, or go to the hardware and ask them what you can do.
You have carpenter bees and must be in the southeast. My son and I were building a deck in NC with lumber treated by cyanide---suddenly sawdust was falling on my head---big old bumble looking bee boring a hole. Plug them with spackle or silicone---these bees don't bite so spray them--they will get the hint.
I would call a bug guy like Terminex or something and find out what can be done since this is a yearly problem. They will probably have an option that could help you in years to come that a one time fix couldnt do.





General Control Notes - Since bees, yellowjackets, hornets and wasps are all considered to be beneficial insects, control should only be done where there is an imminent threat to people or their pets. These insects can (when provoked) inflict a painful, venomous sting and/or bite. Some people are so sensitive to the venom's complex amino acids, proteins and enzymes they develop severe allergic reactions known as anaphylaxis and may even die without an injection of an antidote. Africanized bees can and do kill normal people during an attack frenzy that can include hundreds of stings. Remove or cover all garbage, dropped fruit, soft drinks, pet food and other protein and sugar food sources. Routinely clean all dumpsters, garbage cans and spills. If you spray stinging insects with enzymes or dish detergent mixed with water, they generally die in 6 seconds, or simply vacuum them up.
Only female sex of the carpenter bee stings(eastern Common) and she has a black face, males have a white face. Get Spectracide Bug Stop, read directions, and spray directly in the holes preferably at night. During the day you risk a sting if you encounter a female and she feels captured.. Once the bee activity is gone, plug the holes if you want, but read up on how to truly rid yourself of them.
