Smoke is the best, non lethal way to make them come out. Once you get them out, the seal the holes with a wood putty, or a silicone based caulk, to keep them out. One thing you should keep in mind though, most bees are of the ';Good Guy '; insect clan, and most bees will not harm you as long as you dont antagonize them.I have carpenter bees living in the railings on my porch.is there any homemade remedy i may use.?
University of Kentucky has information on Carpenter Bees. They indicate that unpainted wood is the preference of Carpenter Bees, so if you can paint the wood after you've filled in the holes with Wood Putty that should help too. Or get a really good flyswatter and practice your tennis serve on them, they bounce!
It's not home made but Hot Shot wasp and hornet spray is very effective.
the only thing i could think of is u could get a smoker (not someone who smokes obviosly) to get them out
