I just got a humming bird feeder because they were visiting my patio for 2 weeks... now the stupid bees are fighting them for the sugar water mixture I made... every time a poor humming bird trues to feed the bees dive bomb them. First I only had yellow jackets and now Ive got wasps too. what do I do??Bees fighting humming birds for the feeder?
You can purchase small yellow plastic screens that keep the Yellow Jackets and wasp out of the feeder, but the mesh is large enough the Hummer can stick it's beak in and slurp up syrup.
Yellow Jackets will kill Hummers with their sting.
